Douglas Mark, a 68-year-old homeless resident of Arroyo Grande, was assaulted by 18-year-old Malachy Hayes and 21-year-old Boaz Brigham while he was sleeping at the gazebo at Elm Street Park on March 20. After the defendants were sentenced to 364 days in county jail and four years of probation, Mark, San Luis Obispo County District Attorney Dan Dow and members of the community expressed frustration with the length of sentence. #slocounty #arroyogrande #homeless #assault #crime
